Job Description

Job Summary: Investor KYC / AML Officer

Responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with clients, external auditors, and outsourced providers, while ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Société Générale Securities Services (SGSS) is a leading player in servicing Irish domiciled and offshore collective investment vehicles, with a strong presence in 28 locations worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients, external auditors, and outsourced providers.
  • Manage the financial reporting process, including audit planning, management, and filing.
  • Prepare and review audited annual and interim financial statements in accordance with procedures, relevant accounting standards, and regulatory disclosure requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate results for each report within each relationship.
  • Expand and promote the image of SGSS to all external contacts.
  • Attend Board Meetings of Investment Managers.
  • Oversee and review the completion of central bank and regulatory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Monitor progress of financial statements preparation.
  • Train, coach, and instruct other staff in the team and other departments as required.
  • Keep log of issues encountered and report regularly to staff and management on issues and areas for improvement.
  • Raise ideas to manager to support continuous operational improvements.

Requirements:

  • Graduate with a Master's degree in Finance or Economics from an Engineering School or University with a specialization in business or finance.
  • 2-4 years' experience of financial reporting and/or audit experience with knowledge of Irish GAAP, IFRS.
  • Fluent in English, any other language (especially French) would be an asset.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work stand alone or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn essential.
  • Aptitude for figures.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience of working with deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles together with an awareness of all current technical issues.

About the VIE:

  • This VIE in Dublin is to begin as of January 1st 2025.
  • The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.
