Job Description
Join the Ligonier Township VFD #1 team as a firefighter, fire police, rescue technician, junior firefighter, or social member and serve the community in Waterford and surrounding areas.
Our service area includes Waterford, Oakgrove, Laughlintown, Rector, Oakwood Hills, Laurel Mountain Ski Resort, R.K. Mellon Elementary School, Ligonier Valley Middle School, Valley School of Ligonier, Bethlen Home, Laurel Mountain Borough, Rolling Rock Club and Farms, Laurel Valley Golf Club, and more.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Respond to emergency calls and provide fire and rescue services
- Participate in training and drills to maintain skills and knowledge
- Assist with equipment maintenance and upkeep
- Support community events and outreach programs

**Requirements:**
- Age 14-17 for junior firefighter position
- Age 18 and above for other positions
- Ability to pass physical fitness test
- Ability to work varied shifts and respond to emergencies
