**Biometrics Strategic Services Vice President Role**
A senior leadership position overseeing critical functions in biometrics, including pharmacovigilance, medical writing, and regulatory affairs, with a focus on driving excellence from a functional service provider perspective.
We're seeking a dynamic leader to join our Strategic Services Biometrics team at ICON, a world-leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization.
The ideal candidate will possess a strategic vision and proven leadership in managing complex, cross-functional teams in a global setting.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee functional projects to ensure high standards of client satisfaction, quality, efficiency, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Regularly liaise with clients and senior management to ensure ongoing client satisfaction, addressing issues promptly.
- Keep executive management informed of project status, including budget, personnel, quality, and timelines through monthly reports.
- Collaborate with other managers and departments to improve organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide leadership and direction to functional personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Contribute to strategic business development plans and participate in client meetings to drive regional growth.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, instituting cost control measures and notifying management of any financial concerns.
- Supervise the planning, acquisition, and implementation of systems and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet organizational needs.
- Ensure effective staff management, accountability, and the maintenance of the company's culture and values.
- Establish regular communication channels within the organization to keep teams informed of company initiatives and progress.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred, especially in Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong statistical and analytical background is essential.
- Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry, with significant leadership experience in biometrics, including biostatistics, programming, data management, and statistical programming.
- Proven experience in leading and managing large, global biometrics teams across multiple functions (e.g., pharmacovigilance, medical writing, regulatory affairs) within a CRO or pharmaceutical setting.
- In-depth understanding of global regulatory requirements and guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, ICH) and experience in leading teams through regulatory submissions and interactions.
- Strong track record of managing complex, large-scale projects, including ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Experience working with global clients, including managing client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, and supporting business development efforts.
- Ability to provide strategic direction and contribute to business development initiatives, driving growth and innovation within the biometrics function.
- Deep understanding of statistical methodologies, clinical trial design, and data analysis techniques, with experience in various statistical software and tools (e.g., SAS, R).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, executive management, and external clients.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and driving continuous improvement in processes and systems.
