```html Executive Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced VP of commercial operations to drive progress on the company’s growth mission in the emerging field of quantum computing. The ideal candidate will bring significant expertise to a fast-growing team, having a deep knowledge of running commercial operations (business development, negotiation, sales) with a focus on the advanced computing industry. Good communication skills, motivation, and the ability to work within a diverse team dispersed across multiple time zones are a must. You will work closely with the leadership, product, science, engineering, and marketing teams to influence potential customers and partners, and help drive progress towards the company’s vision of being the leading software developer tool for quantum programming. Responsibilities Day to day oversight of commercial operations Build and execute a business development strategy Assess the company's position on the commercial market and design strategic goals Identify and pursue new business opportunities including with government agencies Define and execute OEM partnership strategy Negotiate purchasing decisions Identify, research and manage potential clients and partnerships Design commercial strategies for the company's sales practices Create and negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders Conduct market research to inform strategy and stay ahead on potential opportunities Contribute in both leadership and individual contributor capacities, when required, and enable growth of the commercial team Keep up to date with the latest relevant technical advances Essential Requirements MBA, or equivalent work experience At least 10 years in a similar role spanning business development, commercial operations, and partnerships Experience in OEM partnerships Excellent negotiation and sales skills Strong analytical and decision-making skills Knowledge of quantum industry, and its ecosystem Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team Strong track record of driving partnerships with customers and government agencies Ability to quickly learn and ramp up on new technologies Passion for learning and driven to succeed Ready for a challenge About The Company At Horizon Quantum Computing, we are developing tools to simplify and expedite the process of developing software for quantum computers, a fundamentally new form of computer that exploits effects from quantum physics to process information more efficiently.
