Job Description

Avolon is seeking a VP Technical – Asset Management to oversee technical aspects of its on-lease assets.

The role requires a driven and resourceful individual with a strong background in engineering and technical asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Asset Management Team to maintain technical accuracy and integrity of all portfolio assets.
  • Liaise with internal departments to support technical activities associated with on-lease aircraft.
  • Manage relationships with lessee technical departments.
  • Assist with trading activity, including due diligence query management and specification reviews.
  • Coordinate Avolon's on-lease inspection programme.
  • Coordinate external stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
  • Perform lease reviews as required.
  • Maintain and produce analytical reports.
  • Provide technical knowledge support to the wider business.
  • Help develop processes and systems utilized in the Technical team.
  • Attend seminars and conferences as requested.
  • Work flexibly to meet the global nature of Avolon's business.
  • Will travel to meet operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Honours Degree and/or an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's License (AMEL).
  • A minimum of five years airline, MRO, or leasing experience within a technical function.
  • Experience in aircraft trading and/or transition management is a strong advantage.
  • Highly proficient with Aircraft Technical Records.
  • Ability to interpret legal terms relating to technical covenants of lease agreements.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with original thought, challenge, and innovation.
  • Direct, effective, and engaging communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong and independent-minded with the ability to express views with conviction.
  • Ability to distil complex messages into key takeaways.
  • Driven, focused, resourceful, and self-motivated with an ability to think independently.
  • Strong drive for results with a focus on meeting project milestones and timelines.
  • Skilled at compiling and monitoring project statuses.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic team setting.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide.
