Highly skilled Warehouse Operations and Systems Manager sought to oversee day-to-day warehouse functions, manage a team, and implement automation and optimisation strategy.
We are a leading importer and wholesaler of healthcare products based in North Cork. Our company is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our warehouse operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Implementing new warehouse storage automation across physical and digital mediums
- Leading technology advancements and WMS opportunities within the warehouse
- Reporting on warehouse performance and operations
- Leading a warehouse team of 15-20 individuals in delivering business objectives
- Ensuring the smooth running of existing warehouse processes
- Conducting operational reviews and managing warehouse KPIs
- Supporting the business in contract and engagement negotiations
- Overseeing distribution and logistics, monitoring daily goods movement
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven supervisory skills and experience in a warehouse environment
- Strong project management skills, particularly in large capital projects
- Experience in strategic planning and inventory control
- Proficiency in ERP and cross-digital integration
- Previous experience with Lean methodology and LEAN SIGMA
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management, safety, and compliance regulations
- Strong customer service skills, with experience working with diverse clients
- Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with team members, management, and customers
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities
- Proficient with computer systems and software used for inventory control and warehouse management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations management
- Experience in automation deployment is a distinct advantage
- Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong technical and PC skills to manage inventory control systems, logistics software, and other warehouse-related applications
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and suppliers
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
