Job Description
We are seeking a versatile Warehouse Operative / Office Administrator to manage day-to-day warehouse operations and provide administrative support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, including loading, packing, wrapping, labelling, and shipping.
- Performing warehouse operations such as picking, packing, check-in, shipping, and freight forwarding activities.
- Handling customer inquiries over the phone, providing updates on orders and addressing any concerns.
- Liaising with transport companies regarding deliveries and PODs, ensuring timely and accurate logistics management.
- Working closely with internal sales teams on warehouse requirements and external customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Accurately completing all required documentation related to warehouse and shipping activities.
- Participating in Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements, including adhering to manual handling procedures.
- Loading and unloading vehicles, accurately counting and checking incoming stock, and allocating items to appropriate storage spaces using a forklift or pallet truck.
- Picking orders from storage racks, packing, and moving them to the loading bay for delivery or collection according to a schedule.
- Sorting and placing materials in the correct allocated locations, checking for damaged or missing items, and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse as part of the daily routine.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative.
- Valid reach and/or counterbalance forklift license with 1-2 years of experience operating a forklift.
- Valid manual handling certification.
- Experience with stock counting and inventory management software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects.
- Excellent communication skills for dealing with customers, transport companies, and internal teams.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to a positive work culture.
- Familiarity with inventory software, databases, and modern warehousing practices.
