Job Description

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative on a part-time contract basis of 20 hours per week to join our operations team based in Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. The role includes delivering products, loading furniture, product demos, picking and packing goods, and general upkeep of the warehouse. The ideal candidate has experience working in a warehouse environment, can lift 25-50kg, and has a full clean driving license. They must also have excellent customer service skills and be able to read and speak English sufficient to converse with the general public.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Loading of furniture and equipment
  • Delivery of products, set up of chairs and installation of desks and other furniture
  • Product demos to clients
  • Pick and packing goods outwards to be delivered to our customers
  • Ensure goods out are in saleable condition, functioning correctly and re-labelled
  • Checking and organising goods inwards from our suppliers
  • Stock Management
  • Notifying our Operations team when stock levels are low on a certain product
  • Keeping main shelves stocked. Taking surplus items from more difficult to access areas (higher shelves)
  • Monitor and eliminate redundant stock
  • Taking pictures of sale and demo items for resale
  • Faulty Products, Returns and Maintenance
  • Checking returns are in good condition. Communicate faults to our Operations team
  • Fixing faulty products as soon as possible. Taking pictures and describing faults and replacement parts needed
  • Ongoing maintenance of chairs and desks on client's sites
  • General Upkeep
  • Keep warehouse clean and tidy i.e moving heavy boxes and regular sweeping
  • Ensuring there are no obstructions in the warehouse aisles
  • Have all areas correctly labelled within the warehouse
  • Flat-packing boxes and ensuring most suitable boxes are kept
  • Disposal of waste, separating cardboard, plastic and other waste

Relevant experience includes:

  • Experience working within a warehouse environment or as a contract furniture installer
  • Ability to lift, push or pull product weighing between 25-50kg
  • Must have good problem solving ability
  • Experience driving large vans and full clean driving license is a requirement
  • Experience in using hand and electrical tools to assemble furniture
  • Ability to read and speak the English language sufficient to converse with the general public
  • Excellent customer service skills, conducting customer contact in a professional and courteous manner

Job Type: Part-time. Expected hours: 20 per week. Additional pay includes bonus pay. Benefits include additional leave, bike to work scheme, company pension, employee discount, and on-site parking.
