Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, including the receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods. This role is crucial for maintaining our high standards of inventory accuracy and order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Goods: Inspect and unload incoming shipments, verifying quantities and conditions against delivery documentation.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and adjustments as needed.
  • Order Picking: Efficiently pick and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
  • Packaging: Pack items securely and appropriately for transportation, minimizing the risk of damage.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, ensuring safe handling of all products.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (training may be provided).
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Leaving Cert or equivalent preferred.
  • English: Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is necessary.
  • Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Good physical fitness: ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
  • Effective communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Forklift & Counterbalance certification is preferred.
