We have an excellent opportunity for a Waste Operative to work on a state of the art facility in Cork working with a leading Facilities Management company. Overall Purpose of the Job You will be responsible for dealing with hazardous and non hazardous waste management on site. To ensure high standards of waste management is performed on site as directed by supervisor. Main duties and responsibilities General services operatives are responsible for dealing with hazardous and non hazardous waste management on site. Main Responsibilities: Hazardous and non hazardous waste collection points. Empty Non hazardous and Hazardous waste bins. Filling and use of the general waste compactor and Dry Mixed Recyclable compactor. Filling, packing and labelling of hazardous waste streams into pre-approved containers and receptacles. Loading of curtainsiders and containers by use of Forklift. Completion of all ADR/IMDG paperwork for shipments of hazardous waste off site. Remain Health & Safety Conscious at all times. Qualifications & Experience Experience in Environmental or Waste management desirable. Forklift training a distinct advantage. Understand safe working practices and health and safety legislation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
