Water Process Engineers are sought to support the delivery of major projects internationally and in Ireland, with a focus on water and wastewater process design and delivery.

Job Description

We are recruiting for multiple positions at all grades for Water Process specialists with a background in water and/or wastewater process. The ideal candidates will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of detailed design reports, calculations, and construction and/or performance specification packages for water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Undertaking technical surveys of major water and wastewater assets, including lifecycle analysis, condition assessment, energy efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Liaison with relevant statutory agencies, including the EPA, Department of Housing, Irish Water, local City and County Councils, and third-party contractors and stakeholders.
  • Developing enduring design solutions in accordance with relevant standards and client requirements, ensuring technical excellence throughout the options development, concept design, and detailed design phases.
  • Assessing design hazards and producing a design risk assessment in the context of the Health & Safety (Construction) Regulations and process risk reduction for operations.
  • Providing technical input and advice to clients in relation to water and wastewater process infrastructure and operations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor degree in a Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering discipline is required.
  • A Master's degree within these fields would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment, both internally and externally.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from optioneering through design to construction and commissioning stage.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and client targets.
  • Membership of Engineers Ireland (or equivalent membership authority) and commitment to achieving chartered status.
  • Strong analytical skills to develop effective, innovative, and commercial solutions.
