Job Description
As a Windows Server Specialist, you will assist in the development and support of the project's Windows Server estate which underpins the organisation's corporate functions and mission-critical power system operation and market functions. You will contribute to the overall success of our customers by working as part of a team of Consultant professionals, undertaking senior database administration duties and driving project delivery and solution optimisation. Key responsibilities include supporting the Windows Server Operations Team Lead, developing and optimising Windows solutions, administering Windows Server environments and VMware/Citrix virtualisation environments, identifying and resolving incidents and problems, and administering Windows server and active directory security. Required qualifications include 4+ years' experience in implementing, supporting and administering Windows environments, significant technical knowledge of Windows Server and several technologies, proficiency in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning, and effective communication skills. Desirable qualifications include administration of Microsoft cloud technologies, technical knowledge of server and storage hardware, and experience of best-practice delivery of IT services using ITIL.
