Job Description

Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Technician required to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles. Key responsibilities include MOT preparation, scheduled servicing, and correction of running defects. A thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics is essential. Qualified and time-served technicians sought with additional accreditations such as IRTEC or EV qualification desirable.

  • Routine (and preventative) maintenance
  • MOT preparation
  • Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
  • 6 (or 8) weekly inspections
  • Correction of running defects
  • Chassis and fabrication work
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Improvement of vehicle standards
  • Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
